Gucci Children Spring Summer Collection 2012

The new collection for children wear has been designed by Creative Director of Gucci Frida Giannini and is completely produced in Italy by Gucci’s suppliers. This time the collection for children has cloths , shoes, accessories,  sunglasses and gifts as well.

Good thing to know is this Gucci is celebrating sixth year donating to UNICEF. Gucci is proud to make a one million dollar donation to UNICEF’s “Schools for Africa” initiative to celebrate six years of partnership and the launch of Gucci Children’s Collection, because as they say education is a gift forever.

The Gucci Spring/Summer 2012 children’s wear collection has a new size chart, now spanning 4-12 years for Gucci Junior while the newborn/baby portion ranges from 0-36 months. Gucci Creative Director, Frida Giannini designed a lively, functional and chic collection for young globetrotters who set sail, trek through the jungle or attend a garden party in colorful clothes, inspired by “The Little Travelers.”

BOYS COLLECTION….

Little Sailors
Nautical stripes and a classic palette of red, white and blue dominate the marine theme, enriched by a new print – the letter G intertwined with an anchor – that appears on T-shirts, bags and shoes or as an intarsia on knitwear. A dapper peacoat decorated with anchor-embossed gold buttons is worn over striped T-shirts and white trousers for a true “Little Captain” look.

Jungle Fever

These little explorers opt for easy and casual pieces, preferring washed or yarn-dyed Bermuda shorts in denim and cotton poplin, at times treated for a vintage effect. A denim and Tencel blend is used for a new and lightweight jogging pant that is both comfortable and elegant.
Pastel-colored cashmere sweaters, Safari jackets and lightweight parkas are the perfect cover-ups for chillier temperatures.
Complementing the jungle theme are the savannah-inspired colors, including aloe green, sand, dusty yellow and toffee brown.

GIRLS COLLECTION…

Sailor Mood

Just like their male friends, the Gucci girls head to the seaside in blue and white with shots of cherry red and lots of stripes.
Frisky skirts, shorts, ruffle-front camisoles, dresses and T-shirts are the key shapes, often printed with brit heart polka dots or with a woven version of the “web ribbon” for a look that is fresh and refined.

Welcome to the Gucci Zoo

The Safari theme adds a new color combination to the web detail, this time in straw/rose blush/straw that appears as a detail on handbags, jersey tank tops or as belts on miniskirts, jumpsuits and silk jersey sweatpants.
The Gucci bird, also a favorite design of the House, appears on long and short T-shirts, either as an application or created with colored micro studs. The dusty color palette includes aloe, rose, yellow, mint, butter and accents of crocus purple.

Color Blossoms
This dreamier and color infused line-up of cropped cardigans, T-shirts, pleated dresses and breezy camisoles targets little girls with a romantic side.
The floral theme takes center stage and inspired by the latest women’s collection, Frida Giannini designed silk organdie dresses with flower applications or long-sleeved t-shirts with flower prints, complemented by fine knitwear, also featuring floral motifs.
A delicate selection of pastel colors such as baby pink, azure, lilac and sherbet green conjures images of a garden in full bloom.
